春 蠶 到 死 絲 方 盡 chun1 can2 dao4 si3 si1 fang1 jin4

蠟 炬 成 灰 淚 始 乾 la4 ju4 cheng2 hui1 lei4 shi3 gan1

曉 鏡 但 愁 雲 鬢 改 xiao3 jing4 dan4 chou2 yun2 bin4 gai3

夜 吟 應 覺 月 光 寒 ye4 yin2 ying4 jue2 yue4 guang1 han2

蓬 山 此 去 無 多 路 peng2 shan1 ci3 qu4 wu2 duo1 lu4

青 鳥 殷 勤 為 探 看 qing1 niao3 yin1 qin2 wei2 tan4 kan4

Time was long before I met her, but is longer since we parted,
And the east wind has arisen and a hundred flowers are gone,
And the silk-worms of spring will weave until they die
And every night the candles will weep their wicks away.
Mornings in her mirror she sees her hair-cloud changing,
Yet she dares the chill of moonlight with her evening song.
...It is not so very far to her Enchanted Mountain
O blue-birds, be listening!-Bring me what she says!
