FelipeH's Tango Story

The yerba mate culture originated from the aboriginal people of South America. New friendships are made, and old friendships are strengthened through the sharing of a cup of tea using a single straw ("bombilla") amongst family and friends. Mate drinking epitomizes the passionate personalities and carefree lifestyles of the Latin Americans, thus continues to draw upon the fascination of city dwellers like you and I.

This design explores the possibilities of combining both the contemporary versus the traditional, the Asian versus the South American tea drinking culture, using this unconventional drink and its utensils as the media.

源自於南美洲原住民的馬黛茶文化，秉著分享的心情共飲一杯茶。即便原本完全不熟識的人，也能藉由吸管的共飲而迅速的拉近關系，這種象徵著南美洲人的熱情奔放，大地草原上的飲品，讓回鄉之後的城市人，一再回味而無法自拔。

本設計即是探討如何利用這樣特殊的飲品與飲具，串起傳統與現代、亞洲與南美洲之間的品茶文化。
